The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards

Hey Guys! First of all sorry about being MIA for almost 2 weeks. Secondly if you didn't know the 2010 Grammy Awards were last night and even though I missed the first 40 minuets I will say what I did watch was fantastic.

The highlight of the night for everyone I think was the tribute to Michael Jackson, as shown in the photo above. Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher all paid tribute to the late King Of Pop by performing Earth Song while a movie (Shown in most places in 3D) behind them and while the video was an awesome effect the singers really shined and was probably the best performance of the night by far. Other performances by Bon Jovi featuring Jennifer Nettles, Lady Antebellum and Dave Matthews Band were performances that I for one really enjoyed to.

New Music Review: Taylor Swift "Today Was A Fairytail"

Today Was A Fairytale is the newest song from Taylor Swift, and is the lead off song from the soundtrack to the movie Valentine's Day which hits theaters on Feb. 12th. This is a typical Taylor song in the sense that is talks about love, however there is nothing wrong with that at all. This song is about your perfect day with your ideal person. (We all dream about those dates right? I have to admit I do to.) Your excited, nervous and head over heels in love with this person and your whole day to you was a fairytail in sense that it was perfect in every way possible. It is a good song, lyrically and melodically and Taylor sounds good. Check it out on iTunes or Amazon.

Today Was A Fairytale Lyrics

Today was a fairytale
You were the prince
I used to be a damsel in distress
You took me by the hand and you picked me up at six
Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale
I wore a dress
You wore a dark grey t-shirt
You told me I was pretty when I looked like a mess
Today was a fairytale
Time slows down whenever you're around

But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale
You've got a smile that takes me to another planet
Every move you make everything you say is right
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
All that I can say is it's getting so much clearer
Nothing made sense until the time I saw your face
Today was a fairytale

Time slows down whenever you're around
Yeah yeah

But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Time slows down whenever you're around
I can feel my heart
It's beating in my chest
Did you feel it?
I can't put this down

But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Judging by the past 2 nights of auditions got me thinking: Will it be a girl's year to grab the title of American Idol? Or do you think is it just too early to tell yet? Of course you can't have Idol without drama and we saw some of that night with two contestants one of whom wouldn't stop singing to listen to the judges and ended up getting upset and had to be escorted out of the room, am I surprised? Not really it's Idol after all and you should expect that kind of thing with them. What will Chicago and Orlando bring next year? Watch next Tuesday & Wednesday to find out.

The ladies did dominate the night with their soulful voices and lovely attitudes (Well most of them anyway) the ladies I chose all had amazing voices and had that something about them that made them stand out from the other competitors. New Music Review: Lady Antebellm "Ready To Love Again"

Hey Guys!

So today yet another Lady Antebellum song for you to give a listen to. It's a continuation of their Countdown to Need You Now and it's called Ready To Love Again. It's such a beautiful ballad and Hillary Scott describes the song's message as such "And it's a song basically about just having hope and finding hope in finding love again and feeling like you've been through a heartbreak or you've been through a dry spell and it's having that hope of finding love again" I gave it another listen this morning and again as I've said in the past I love their vocals, and this time they've added strings and it just makes it that much more beautiful. Another co-written song by the group (They have 7 in all and Hillary Dave and Charles each landed individual co-writes to) and with the help of writer Mike Busbee this song really shows what Lady Antebellum is about and that's creating and putting about amazing music for the fans. January 26th cannot come soon enough and check out Ready To Love Again on iTunes.

Ready To Love Again Lyrics

Seems I was walking in the wrong direction
I barely recognized my own reflection, no
Scared of love, but scared of life alone
Seems I've been playin' on the safe side baby
Building walls around my heart to save me, oh
But it's time for me to let it go.

Yeah, I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I 'fraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready to love again.

Just when you think that love will never find you
You run away but still it's right behind you, oh
It's just something that we can't control

Yeah, I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I 'fraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready to love again.

So come and find me
I'll be waiting up for you
I'll be holding out for you tonight

Yeah, I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I 'fraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready, ready to love again.

New Music Review: Lady Antebellm "Love This Pain"

This is the 3rd release from the group's upcoming CD Need You Now which hits stores January 26th

Lady Antebellum continues their Countdown to Need You Now with the release of their 3rd song on iTunes entitled Love This Pain. Once again the group delivers amazing harmonies on the chorus and Charles Kelly really delivers he has the main vocal parts on this song and there just amazing, he's got a unique voice quality that I really love. And Unlike American Honey, Love This Pain is an uptempo song about a love that you just can't walk away from even though you really can't take the pain of being in the relationship and you tell yourself that you seem like a different person because of it.
