New Music Review: Lady Antebellm "American Honey"

Lady Antebellum isn't new to the country scene anymore and have been racking up awards and praise since they were introduced to us a few years ago. Since then they have released their self titled CD and are in the process of getting ready to launch a new CD titled Need You Now and this song American Honey is the second single from the album.

Co-written by Hillary Lindsey, the group is composed of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelly and Dave Haywood the three have amazing harmonies and this song is smooth and as sweet as well honey. It reminds you of more a summer time song but listening to it now it just warms you up and makes you smile.

The vocals these three have when there together are really out of this world. I have been lucky enough to see them 2 times and meet them as well and their lives vocals are just as good and they are as sweet as can be. So make sure you go and get a copy of American Honey on iTunes and continue to download a song a week until the new CD hits stores January 26th, 2010.

American Honey Lyrics

She grow up on the side of the road
Where the church bells ring and strong love grows
She grew up good, she grew up slow
Like American honey

Steady as a preacher, free as a weed
Couldn't wait to get going
But wasn't quite ready to leave
So innocent pure and sweet
American Honey

There's a wild wild whisper blown in the wind
Callin out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Oh nothings sweeter than summertime
And American honey

Get caught in the race of this crazy life
Tryin to be everything can make you lose your mind
I just wanna go back in time
To American honey yeah

There s a wild wild whisper blown in the wind
Callin out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Ooh nothings sweeter than summertime
And American Honey

Gone for so long now
I gotta get back to her some how
To American Honey

yeaaah

Ooooh
There's a wild wild whisper blown in the wind
Callin out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Ooh nothings sweeter than summertime
And American honey
And American honey
